My Magic Power

Recently, I’ve discovered something really interesting…

I have a magic power. Can you guess what it is? I have the power to stop the time. Really.

Since I was kid, I was always wondering which super power could be possibly attributed to me. I discovered it yesterday. I take photographs of gorgeous human beings and I could give them the possibility to stop the time to cherish those moment. I see beauty everywhere I go, but the moment I click on the press-release button of my camera is the moment I freeze the instant. I freeze the emotion & capture the love, the memories. This shot was taken earlier in the month, it was a crazy shoot!

Each time you will take a photo of someone you know, even if the person does not look as fabulous they’d like on the image, always learn to appreciate what you’ve got and share it. Appreciate the one who loves you because you don’t know what could happen  to them tomorrow. So, I challenge you to take your camera and go photograph someone you know. Memories will stay forever. You don’t want to miss that chance!

Hugs and good luck with the little challenge,

Fine art photography: what is that?!

“A picture is a secret about a secret, the more it tells you the less you know.” ― Diane Arbus

Image

When a pictures becomes more fullfilled with little details, more attention about how the subject is placed… the secret about the secret will always captive you: it may even drives you nuts! Have you ever wondered how real pro photographer could do a such amazing job, how they could do amazing shots and wanted to figure out how it was done? I always wanted to ask myself: What is fine art photography? Is there that much of difference between fashion and portraiture? Let’s see that!

Fine art photography

When I typed on google search: ”  Fine art photography “, I found an interesting definition in wikipedia:

Fine art photography is photography created in accordance with the vision of the artist as photographer. Fine art photography stands in contrast to representational photography, such as photojournalism, which provides a documentary visual account of specific subjects and events, literally re-presenting objective reality rather than the subjective intent of the photographer; and commercial photography, the primary focus of which is to advertise products or services.

In other words, fine art is defined as a photography coming from your own ideas and creativity. It is your vision, not the others!!

Rebelious at Heart

Working with Carmen was something amazing. This talented girl has such an easy and lovely personality that everything was rolling very fast: it was so fun!! The shoot has been set at the end of June around my neighborhood. We had nothing in mind, but we followed our heart &  inspiration…  don’t worry: I had more ideas during the photo shoot.

Sunny and beautiful day, this is what I remember from that day. Even thought we had some “bugs” problem and it was kind of hot, nothing was more powerless than the windy breeze feeling and the strong  & positive energy that this unique beauty showed up to me.

Enjoy these photographs, let me know what you think by writing in the comment section below!
